A teenage girl riding a bike collided with a pickup truck at at about 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at the intersection of Waterford Cut and Boxwood Lane in Crystal Lake.
The Crystal Lake teen, about 16 years old, was transported by ambulance for treatment of what appeared to be a broken leg.
The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet. Witnesses said a delivery truck was also driving through the intersection prior to the collision, and may have prevented the cyclist and motorist from seeing one another.
