ReplyI think change is disturbing you, FriendlyCritic. I also think everyone who works nowadays knows they have to change and grow to keep their job. That's the way I look at it. No guarantees. Keep trying. Try something new today.

ReplyHi FriendlyCritic.
Two things will shock you. We find 'multiple people' is frequently one person with multiple personalities on the site. The fact about this story is it remains the most popular every month. You and you remain the only person who doesn't like it, based on readership. -

ReplyThe full explanation for hand washing facilities is in the attached PDF on the story as number 13. It's too long. I use what the Heath Department writes on its report to each restaurant. It says the restaurant will provide hand washing facilities in a convenient, accessible, designed, and maintained way that will always be convenient for the employee who is in the food prep area, the food dispensing area, toilet rooms and warewashing areas. Employees will keep their fingernails and hands clean by using a cleaning compound to lather hands and arms for at least 20 seconds. Workers will wash their hands before starting work in the approved fashion. They must wash their hands after touching bare human body parts, after using the toilet, after caring for assistance animals, after coughing, sneezing, using a handkerchief......
It goes on and on for more than 10 more sections.
Including those details would make this article unpublishable.
The Health Department inspection said the restaurant didn't meet the hand washing provisions of section 13 in the inspection guide.
Automatic Failure.
If people want all the detail, it is provided in the attached PDF.Mark.

ReplyI'm letting other people speculate, Dave. The sign in the right window is a real estate sign. Someone always owns the building. The story raises the question of what people want to see there. I do love the restaurant concept. That's straight up funny, especially with all the parking.

ReplyFran from Habitat for Humanity left this message: "Mark, if you show a picture of the abandoned florist on Hospital Avenue and speed up time to the beginning of 2014, you'll see 5 new Habitat condos on that site. Habitat for Humanity is always a possible answer and a vision for vacancies. We have the volunteers. We need the properties ... hopefully donated! Solutions are only a click away. I know Patch editors have joined us on at a construction site in the past. Let's do it again!

ReplyHi Peter,
The sign on the store said it would open May 22. A lot of stores open early with a soft opening to give the workers time to learn their jobs before the 'Opening Day' rush. I'd walk by the store between now and then and look. That's what I'll be doing. -

ReplyAccording to the company's website, the company's online application works best on Windows Internet Explorer 6 or 7. It says if that doesn't work, visit the store's Hiring Center and fill out an application there. The store is scheduled to open this week.
