Learn, Enjoy and Explore at the Crystal Lake Public Library (CLPL), a twice-rated top ten Library as determined by Hennen’s American Public Library Ratings in the 25,000 – 49,000 population category. 

<strong>What we offer:</strong>

The Library’s friendly, trained, professional staff can help you find what you’re looking for among its wide range of materials including, books, DVDs, audio books, electronic resources (24/7 on the website), CDs, video games, magazines, newspapers and foreign language materials.  The Library offers free Internet and WiFi access and programs for all ages, including their Summer Reading Program, which registers more than 4,500 participants who read for a collective total of more than five million minutes.  Each year, more than 320,000 people visit CLPL and the annual circulation exceeds one million.

<strong>Location and hours:</strong>

The Crystal Lake Public Library is located on the corner of McHenry Avenue and Paddock Street.  The Library is open Monday – Thursday from 9 am – 9 pm, Friday and Saturday from 9 am – 5 pm and Sunday (September – May) from 1 pm – 5 pm.
