One Winning Ticket for $338 Million Powerball Jackpot

Lottery officials say only one winning ticket matched the numbers for Saturday's massive Powerball Jackpot.

  One winning ticket was sold for Saturday's estimated $338 million Powerball Lottery. The Powerball Jackpot had rolled over the past several drawings to climb to the highest jackpot of the year on Saturday, March 23. The massive jackpot had people running to their local stores to buy tickets. The ticket with the winning numbers and power ball number was sold in New Jersey, according to lottery officials. More information about where the ticket was sold is expected to be released on Monday. The winning numbers are: 17 - 29 - 31 - 52 - 53 and the Powerball number is 31, according to the Powerball Lottery.

Powerball Jackpot up to $150 Million

Feeling lucky? If so, you may consider running out to buy a Powerball ticket as no one won the big jackpot this past Wednesday night. As a result, the Powerball has climbed $150 million for the next drawing, which is Saturday night, March 9. A jackpot winner would take home a $95.2 million cash payout, according to the Powerball webpage. Wednesday's drawing produced no grand prize winner, but there was one $1 million winning ticket that had all five Powerball numbers.

Powerball Hits $500 Million Jackpot

Wednesday’s jackpot could go up higher, lottery officials said.

The jackpot is now $500 million and may grow larger by Wednesday’s drawing, lottery officials said. “When (the jackpot) is this large, it’s not unusual for the jackpot to go up. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets pumped up again,” said Chanele Newton, a Northstar Lottery Group spokesman. Northstar runs the Illinois State Lottery.
