Visitation and funeral services have been scheduled for Jill Turskey, the 35-year-old Cary woman who was tragically killed Saturday, Nov. 3, when she was hit by a Metra train. Visitation for the long-time Cary resident and graduate of Cary-Grove High School is scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary. Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Cary. Burial will be in Windridge Memorial Park, according to Turskey's obituary notice in the Northwest Herald. UPDATED SUNDAY, NOV. 4: The McHenry County Coroner's office said Jill Turskey, 35, of Cary was the person struck and killed by a Metra train on Saturday evening. Turskey was struck by an outbound Metra train at about 6:50 p.m. on the tracks northwest of the Cary train station, across from Feinburg Court. Investigators on Sunday were trying to determine how the collision occurred. Kim Bostic, deputy coroner for the county, said the investigation is on-going. Turskey was a 1995 graduate of Cary-Grove High School, according to her Facebook page.
