Visitation is Friday, Nov. 16, from 3 to 8 p.m., at the Davenport Family Funeral Home. Memorial service is at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Evangelical Free Church in Crystal Lake.
Robert “Bob” W. Pleva, 84, of Cary, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Mayflower Nursing Home in Grinnell, Iowa. He was born Jan. 13, 1928, in Cary, to the late Rudolph and Lillian Pleva. He married the late Doris Peterson on Sept. 9, 1950, in Crystal Lake. Bob and Doris were married for 55 years. Bob lived his entire life in Cary. He worked for Reilly-Lakeshore Electro Plating in Chicago until 1972, and, in 1975 started Bob’s Home Improvement in Cary. Bob was an active member of the Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake and enjoyed gardening, visiting the farm in Carney, Mich. and church activities.
