  Ladies, looking for a good excuse to get together with friends? The Crystal Lake Park District is hosting a "Ladies Night Out" from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Park Place, 406 W. Woodstock St., Crystal Lake. The event is free, and just for the ladies. The evening will feature a drink special, raffles, purses, jewelry, chocolate and more! Downtown Crystal Lake brings Ladies Night Out to area businesses.

Downtown Crystal Lake/Main Street has organized a night out for area ladies, featuring a host of businesses and specials for everyone who attends. The event, named Ladies Night Out, will start at 5 p.m. tonight (Thursday, April 12) at the Raue Center, 26 N. Williams St. and continue throughout the downtown area. A lot of businesses are participating this year, each one offering special discounts, prizes or coupons for area shoppers. The first 500 customers will receive a map of the event, a list of participating businesses and a bag filled with coupons, deals and other surprises. A special "night-cap" of music, entertainment and prizes will take place at The Cottage at 9 p.m. To find out more about tonight's event, click here.

Crowd Turns Up for 'Ladies Night Out'

The 2nd Annual Ladies Night Out took place Thursday in downtown Crystal Lake.

The 2nd Annual Ladies Night Out took place Thursday night in downtown Crystal Lake. This event drew a crowd, with 26 participating merchants and approximately 500 customers. Ladies started off the night by going to the Raue Center of the Arts to receive a map of the downtown and a list of participating merchants. The first 500 attendees received a goody bag filled with coupons and other deals. Although stylist Caitlin Whitney only had a mere five weeks to finalize the event, she still gave credit to others. "Diana Kinney (executive director of Downtown Crystal Lake) and Mary from 'Out of the Box' were my sounding board," Whitney said.
