Sustainability: Learn About Green Burials
The Chicagoland Green Burial Society is presenting a class about green burials at the Prairieview Education Center in Crystal Lake on Tuesday, July 31.
The Chicagoland Green Burial Society is presenting "Green Burials: Your Options, Your Wishes, Your Rights" to teach of the benefits of having a more conservation-friendly burial. A green burial simply means, "Not being embalmed, being buried in the ground without a vault, in a bio-degradable container, having as low an impact on the environment as possible," according to the Chicagoland Green Burial Society. The topics discussed at the presentation will range from what is done with the body to how the funeral service is handled to the resources needed, and everything in between.
