City Council Rejects Proposal to Make Grant Two-Way Street
The city council voted on the proposal during a meeting Tuesday.
The Crystal Lake City Council rejected a proposal Tuesday to make Grant Street a two-way street between Woodstock and Brink streets, according to the Northwest Herald. The downtown street is currently a one-way thoroughfare. The hope was that as a two-way street there could be an increase in traffic in front of businesses along Grant, more parking could be added and that it would be"easier to create an on-street bike route," according to the Northwest Herald.
