George R. Rogers, 72, of Crystal Lake, Worked for United Airlines, Loved to Travel
Visitation was held Sunday, Nov. 4, and will continue from 9:30 a.m. to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Monday, Nov. 5, at Querhammer and Flagg Funeral Home in Crystal Lake.
George R. Rogers, 72, of Crystal Lake passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at his home. He was born October 26, 1940, in Dearborn, Mich., to Clarence and Ethel (Stephens) Rogers. On Aug. 12, 1967, he married Barbara Beutell in Dearborn. He served in the Air National Guard for several years. He worked for United Airlines for 39 years before his retirement in 1999. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife in their RV, including being "snowbirds" in Florida. He was a Mustang enthusiast, enjoying both car shows and cruise nights. He was also well known within his family and in the Crystal Lake area for his baking, but especially his cookies.
