Crystal Lake Police have sent an advisory message recommending people avoid Pierson Street in Crystal Lake.
CRYSTAL LAKE ADVISORY: Avoid Pierson Street between Washington and Van Buren streets as it will be closed until 1:30 p.m. Monday due to tree removal. The Crystal Lake Public Works Department has closed Pierson temporarily while the work is being completed.
Crystal Lake Public Works Department will be making sewer main repairs on Main Street in the downtown area today.
The city of Crystal Lake is warning residents necessary sewer main repairs on Main Street could impede traffic between Woodstock Street and Crystal Lake Avenue today in downtown Crystal Lake. The Crystal Lake Public Works Department will be repairing a sewer main from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., according to a press release from the city. Traffic will be slowed near the work zone, and, at times, could be reduced to one lane. Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route during this time, if possible, the release states.
