Crystal Lake Teenage Girl Found Dead at Veteran Acres Park
The body of a 14-year-old girl was found at 7:45 a.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 21.
UPDATE: 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21. ----------------------------------------------- A 14-year-old teenage girl was found dead Thursday morning at Veteran Acres Park, according to Crystal Lake Police and Park District officials. Park District Police and Crystal Lake Police officials were on the scene early Feb. 21, to investigate the death at the park, located at 431 Walkup Road on the north side of Crystal Lake. The teen's body was found at about 7:45 a.m. by a passerby near the pond. Police did not release the cause of death, but no foul play is suspected, said Crystal Lake Police Cmdr. Dan Dziewior.
