Vandals Break Car and House Windows in Crystal Lake

The Crystal Lake Police Department and Crystal Lake Crime Stoppers are seeking information to help solve multiple cases of damage/ vandalism throughout the city.

  Crime Stoppers and Crystal Lake Police are seeking information to help solve several cases of property damage that have occurred throughout the city. Police said during the overnight hours of Thursday, Aug. 23, and leading into the morning of Sunday, Aug. 26, unknown offenders broke several home windows using such items as bricks and landscape lights, according to a press release issued by Community Relations Officer Kimberely Shipbaugh. Another house was 'egged.'  During the same time period, someone threw bricks at multiple car windows, shattering them. One car had sugar poured into the gas tank.
