Chili Open Golf Classic Re-Scheduled, Again
Mother Nature is wreaking havoc with annual Chili Open Golf Classic.
Due to poor ice conditions, the 42nd Annual Chili Open Golf Classic has been rescheduled for the second time this year. The annual golf tournament held on the ice of Crystal Lake has now been scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 16, according to Crystal Lake Park District spokeswoman Jenny Leech. Leech said park district staff is holding out hope that forecasted drop in temperatures over the next few weeks will create safe ice conditions for the event held at Crystal Lake Main Beach, 300 Lake Shore Drive, Crystal Lake. Tee times begin at 8 a.m. and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration fee for the Chili Open is $115 per team (foursome).
