Take a Walk in Her Shoes Ball Friday at Boulder Ridge Country Club
A portion of the proceeds raised through the event will help support McHenry County College's Women in Transition scholarship program.
The "Take a Walk in Her Shoes Ball" will be held from 7 to 11:30 p.m. Friday at the Boulder Ridge Country Club, 350 Boulder Drive in Lake in the Hills. A portion of the proceeds from the benefit will support the McHenry County College Women in Transition scholarship program. In 2011, 37 nursing students at MCC received scholarship support from the "Take a Walk in Her Shoes Ball" fund-raiser, according to the Friends of MCC Foundation event website. A Strut Your Stuff competition will be held at the event where registrants can "strut, stroll or stride" down a stage in shoes of their choice.
