Crystal Lake Woman Taken to Hospital after Car Crash near Route 14 and Teckler

Amy Sterne, 27, was waiting to turn north onto Teckler Boulevard when her Ford Escape collided with Toyota Camry driven by a Woodstock man.

  A 27-year-old Crystal Lake woman was listed in good condition after her Ford Escape on Saturday, Jan. 5, collided with another car and flipped over near the Teckler Boulevard-Route 14 intersection, the Northwest Herald reports. Amy Sterne was driving the Ford Escape at about 1 p.m., and was facing east, attempting to turn left (north) onto Teckler, near the Jewel Food store, the Herald reports.  While executing her turn, Sterne's Escape collided with a Toyota Camry traveling west on Route 14 driven by Michael Gilmer, 59, of Woodstock, the Herald article stated. Sterne was transported to Centegra Hospital in Woodstock, where she was listed in good condition. Sterne will be cited for failure to yield, the story stated.
