Sage Products Receives Stimulus Funds For Expansion Project
Funds are in addition to those awarded to the village
Sage Products in Cary already is the village's largest employer, but when its facility expansion is completed by mid-2011 its workforce also should increase. The expansion is being funded in part by nearly $5.7 million in bonds secured under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act, which was signed into law in early 2009. The ability to seek the interest free bonds was made possible when the McHenry County Board chose Sage Products project, earlier this month. The board was in charge of the $21.7 million in stimulus money allocated to the county, Deputy County Administrator John Labaj said.
