Cary Day Care Provider Charged with Battery to a Child
Alvin D. Santiago, 31, has been charged in connection to injuries sustained by a 3-month-old baby.
Cary Day Care provider Alvin D. Santiago, 31, has been charged with one felony count of aggravated battery to a child, according to the Cary Police Department. Santiago, of the 300 block of Ann Street, was charged following a six-week investigation by the Cary Police Department and the Department of Children and Family Services. The case involves injuries against a three-month-old baby that occurred on Sept. 17, Cary Police said in a press release. Authorities were called to Santiago's home that day for a report of a baby who was unconscious and not breathing.
