Poll: Tigers or Trojans? Who Will Win on Saturday?
Crystal Lake Central and Cary-Grove high schools won their playoff games this past weekend and now will face each other at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, at Cary-Grove.
Well, who would have predicted this matchup? Community High School District 155 has not one, but two varsity football teams advancing to the Illinois High School Association's quarterfinals this weekend. And, it just so happens those two teams - Crystal Lake Central and Cary-Grove - will play each other at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Cary-Grove High School, Cary. The Cary-Grove Trojans Varsity Football team (11-0) is undefeated this season. The Trojans beat the St. Patrick's Shamrocks, of Chicago, 49-21 on Saturday, Nov. 3, at Cary-Grove's home field in the second round of the Class 6A high school playoffs, the Daily Herald reports.
