Lake Park, or Main Beach, is located in the southeast section of Crystal Lake. It is an expansive waterfront area which includes sand, a fishing pier, boat rental and launch, and in the winter, ice skating. Lifeguards are on duty in the summer. Sports facilities include three basketball courts, a ball diamond used by the American Little League, and there is a playground on the premises.  The bath house contains concessions and bathrooms, and sometimes Park District programs or classes are held inside. Many events happen throughout the year at this park, so be sure to check the Crystal Lake Park District Web site for a calendar of events.
