Weekender: Musical Concerts, Final Epic Event at CL Public Library
It's going to be a musical weekend around Crystal Lake and Cary.

If you love music, this weekend is for you. There are several concerts planned at the Raue Center for the Arts, The Listening Room at Lakeside Legacy Arts Park, and in Woodstock.
The music ranges from Native American Indian drum and flute music to an ABBA tribute band.
Also, library patrons, don't forget to attend the final Epic Event on Saturday in the Crystal Lake Library's 100th Anniversary celebration. Simon the Scarecrow (mascot for the annual Community Harvest Food Collection) will exchange wedding vows with his fiancee, Simone Strawmonis. Plus, there are plenty of other activities planned. Beckett will perform in "Lucy's Music: Sessions Series," small, black box stage set-up that allows 150 fans a truly intimate experience, according to the Raue Center.

Douglas Blue Feather is a world class flutist and internationally known recording artist - and one of the most talented performers on the Native American flute in the world. Tickets are $10. 815-337-3534

The Crystal Lake Library hosts the final EPIC Exploration Event in the library's series of 100th Anniversary programs. The library will hold a birthday celebration complete with cake for all guests.
Local experts in a number of fields will be on hand talking about a multitude of hobbies, crafts and disciplines. There also will be prizes, giveaways, and other surprises for all guests.
