Now that the "Wintery Mix" storm has passed, residents of Crystal Lake and Cary should brace for an influx of frigid cold temperatures.
The high temp for today, Monday, Dec. 23, is expected to top off at only 17 degrees, according to Aol Weather. And it only gets colder from there! Tonight the mercury is expected to plunge to 1 degree.
There's also a chance for snow showers today.
The high temperature for Tuesday will climb to only 14 degrees, according to Aol Weather. However, the cold weather be accompanied by sunshine. The temp will drop to 7 degrees overnight.
