1 to 3 Inches of Snow Expected Saturday

More snow is on the way for McHenry County on Saturday, Jan. 18.

It's going to be another cold and snowy day for McHenry County.

Today's forecast calls for snow with accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Most of the county falls in the 1-2 inch range for anticipated snowfall predicted by the National Weather Service.

The far southwest part of the county may get 2 to 4 inches. See attached map for snowfall predictions.

Heavier snowfall totals are expected far west and south of the Chicago suburbs (from Dixon, Ill. to Fowler, Ind.), where winter weather advisories had already been issued Friday night, according to the National Weather Service.

The high temperature will be about 21 degrees.
