Hockey Toy Drive Collects 500 Toys, $500 in Donations

McHenry County based agencies raises funds for children in Lake county.

A Hockey Charity Game at the Crystal Ice House on Dec. 3, between the Falcons and AxMen netted over 500 Toys for the Salvation Army’s Toyland Toy Shop, and 500 dollars in cash donations for the Marine Corps Reserve Leagues Toys for Tots Campaign.

The Falcons, made up of many members from McHenry County based Law Enforcement agencies, took on the AxMen whose members are from the Wauconda Fire Department.

It was a close contest with the Falcons prevailing 6-5, but the best results were in the generosity of their Fans in helping needy Children at Christmas Time.
