Health Department Recognizes Cary-Grove Student for Spirit Award

Area residents received awards for their contributions to making the county a healthier place.

The McHenry County Department of Health held its annual Public Health Month breakfast/ceremony to honor this year’s Spirit Award recipients on both April 16 at the McHenry County Administration Building and on April 25 at its Crystal Lake office in order to accommodate staff, volunteers and Spirit recipients.

Volunteers were recognized for their contributions to MCDH clinics, for Medical Reserve Corps assistance and for the many hours donated to Animal Control.

Employee service awards were also presented to Health Department employees whose milestones ranged from five to 20 years.
