Star 105.5 and The Salvation Army teamed up Saturday morning to help area children needing some holiday cheer. The team collected new toys, gift cards and more for the kids and their families in McHenry County at The Commons of .
The party band Empty Pockets was out for a special holiday performance along with representatives from the U.S. Army.
The event also featured a special appearance from the famous Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine.
