Cary Cares for Canines Rescheduled for May 13

Local group plans to raise funds for national canine organization.

The is sponsoring the second annual Cary Cares for Canines from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday May 13 at Lions Park, 1180 Silver Lake Road in Cary.

The event aims raise funds for Canine Companions for Independence, a worldwide agency that breeds, trains and provides exceptional dogs for exceptional people at no cost to the recipient.  

In their 35 years, CCI has placed over 3000 dogs with people who have special needs to increase their independence and quality of life.

Event registration is on site and free. Each registrant will receive a goodie bag. 

The Cary Lions Club is raising funds for CCI through program ads, exhibitor fees, raffles, and pictures with your dog.

The afternoon will include educational presentations and exhibit booths offering ways to better care for and love our 4-legged best friends.  The event also offers dog activities and contests with prizes for the winning dogs. 

Come out with your dogs and enjoy a fun afternoon while helping others to have fun through an assistive dog from Canine Companions for Independence.
