Detour: Water Main Break at Crystal Lake and Pomeroy Avenues
Water main break on Crystal Lake Avenue in Crystal Lake creates road detour on Monday, Dec. 30.
The city of Crystal Lake is warning motorists about a water main break on Crystal Lake Avenue at the intersection of Pomeroy Avenue.
While repairs are being made, a detour will be established on Crystal Lake Avenue for eastbound traffic approaching the work zone. Westbound traffic will not be interrupted, a city news release stated.
The detour will direct motorists south on Dole Avenue, east on Ash Street, and north on Maple Street, where normal travel may resume on Crystal Lake Avenue.

The lane closure will begin at approximately 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30. Normal traffic is expected to resume by 4 p.m.
