Free Rock Climbing, Moonwalk, Games at SportsFest in Cary

SportsFest offers free rock climbing, rides, and outdoor food and music on Sunday, August 19 from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. in the Feinberg Court Business District at 800 Feinberg Court in Cary.

 

SportsFest, an annual sports and fitness showcase sponsored by the Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, offers a full slate of fun activities on Aug. 19. 

Come out to SportsFest and enjoy free rock climbing for kids, free games and activities and chances to win great prizes including six skybox seat tickets to the Cubs vs. Pirates game on Sept. 17, a $1,000 value.

The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, in the Feinberg Court Business District near at 800 Feinberg Court in Cary. Admission and parking are free.

SportsFest, which attracted over 1,500 attendees last year, is a family friendly outing for local residents and a great way to end the summer. Nearly 50 vendors including local youth sports clubs as well as sports and fitness-related businesses and resources will attend.

Throughout the day, many sports and fitness vendors will be offering free games for kids, free raffles and giveaways. A vendor raffle conducted by the chamber will offer a grand prize of six Sage skybox seat tickets to the Chicago Cubs Sept. 17 game, sponsored by Sage Products, Inc.

An obstacle course challenge for kids sponsored by New Balance Athletic Shoes, of Crystal Lake, will award a grand prize of a new bike from Walmart. There will also be a free giant slide ride from Pump It Up, a free moonwalk from American Freestyle Martial Arts, and Cary Physical Therapy will offer a free obstacle climb. 

The event will also feature the sounds of The Echos of Time, outdoor food and refreshments, and youth and adult sports and fitness demonstrations all day from poms and cheerleading to gymnastics and karate.
