Cynthia Thompson is a student photograph studying at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake.
A Patch reader who also "Liked" the Crystal Lake-Cary Patch Facebook page, Thompson sent a message to Patch describing the sunflower farm she had heard about and wanted to photograph.
She found the farm, located at the corner of Queen Anne and Bull Valley roads in Woodstock, and shared her delightful photographs with Patch. She also added a pic of last night's almost-blue moon. The real blue moon - which stands for the second full moon within the month- will be out tonight, Friday, Aug. 31.
