Crystal Lake was spared the severe weather that hit much of the Chicago area on Sunday, and the annual 4th of July parade proceeded without a hitch.

Everyone loves a parade. But kids seem to love them more!

Here is a photo gallery of some of the children who lined the parade route along Dole Avenue on Sunday afternoon. Some were intent upon gathering candy. Others were easily amused by the horses, Little People characters and other parade entries.
