A free stand-up paddle-boarding class will be held at Three Oaks Recreation Center, 5517 Route 14, Crystal Lake, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, June 10, according to Alpine Accessories website.
Those attending will get a 15 to 30-minute dry land lesson followed by 15 to 30 minutes on the water on North Lake.
There will be different boards available. For nonresidents of Crystal Lake, there is $5 parking fee at Three Oaks. For more paddle-boarding information, call Alpine Accessories at 1-847-854-4754. Alpine Accessories is located at 9219 Route 31, Lake in the Hills.
