Cary to Hold Fireworks Show Sunday

Fireworks display was planned for Cary's "3rd of July" celebration, but cancelled due to hot and dry conditions.

 

As the saying goes, "Better late than never!"

Recent rainfalls have enabled the to reschedule the fireworks show cancelled last month during the community's Independence Day celebration because of hot and dry conditions.

Cary Park District will host its fireworks display on Sunday, Aug. 19, at  1170 Silver Lake Rd., Cary, according to Katie Hughes, director of communications and marketing for the Cary Park District.

The fireworks will begin at dusk. Admission is free. Parking is $5 for grass, or $10 for pavement.
