The event is hosted by Respiratory Health Association. All proceeds benefit RHA's mission- to promote healthy lungs and fight lung disease through research, advocacy and education.  according to Jennie Szink, communications/ marketing coordinator for RHA of Metropolitan Chicago.

CowaLUNGa attracted nearly 300 cyclists from families to weekend warriors. The one-day tour covered about 65 miles; the two-day ride traveled about 130 miles; and the three-day tour included 190 miles. CowaLUNGA is expected to raise $200,000 for lung health, Szink said.
