Only four days until the "Blast on the Beach" end-of-summer celebration gets under way.
The Blast takes off Saturday, Aug. 18, at Main Beach in Crystal Lake.
Crystal Lake-Cary Patch will be joining in the fun and games, along with other area sponsors. Stop by the Patch booth where we'll be passing out cool summer Patch swag and mingling with guests. You might even get a chance to spin the Patch wheel and win great prizes.
If you like to sing and dance, don't miss this opportunity to participate in the Patch lip-dub video celebrating the best songs of the 2012 summer season. Don't want to dance alone? Bring a friend, or two, or three....the more the merrier!

officials expect this year's Blast to be a big one as the BMO Harris sponsorship allows free admission for all attendees. The "Blast on the Beach" lineup includes a water ski show, treasure hunt, fun fair, craft fair and Baggo tournament, to name a few.
Mr. Myers, a Sycamore-based Caribbean-rock band, will play reggae, calypso, Jimmy Buffet and other beach tunes.
