Holiday Gift Idea for Golfers

Give a foursome gift to the Crystal Lake Park District 42nd Annual Doc Haznow Chili Open Golf Classic.

Golfers on your holiday list will love a gift certificate to cover the cost of a foursome golf team for the 42nd Annual Doc Haznow Chili Open Golf Classic. The Open, held on the frozen surface of Crystal Lake, is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 19, at Crystal Lake Main Beach, 300 Lake Shore Dr., Crystal Lake.

"No ice" (rain date) dates are Feb. 2 or Feb. 16.  Golfers play a 9-hole, par 32 course. All foursomes receive great giveaway: one bowl of chili and chance to win several prizes which include various golf bags, golf clubs, golf apparel, and other prizes.

Decorate a sled and enter it in the Chili Open "Best Sled" contest for a chance to win even more great golf prizes. Painted golf balls, prizes and side games are provided to all golfers. Tee-offs begin at 8 am and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Cost is $115 per team (foursome). The event is sponsored by Jersey Mikes, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin Donuts and Black Diamond Mechanical.

Vendors Needed for Bridal Fair at Park Place

Park Place, a Crystal Lake Park District banquet facility, is hosting the annual Park Place Bridal Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013.

There are still a limited number of booth spaces available for businesses, services or organizations that serve couples planning a wedding. Vendor booths are available for $175. A vendor information packet and registration form may be downloaded online at www.crystallakeparks.org.  

Vendor benefits include:

• All event advertising provided by the Crystal Lake Park District (park district brochure, newspaper advertising, banner advertising, radio advertising)
• Exposure to a large audience of individuals who are interested in wedding planning (admission to the expo is free)
• Inclusion of your business or organization in welcome bag distributed to expo attendees
• Lead list after the event

Vendors Needed for Health, Fitness and Nutrition Expo at Park Place

Park Place also is the site for the 1st Annual Health, Fitness and Nutrition Expo on from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013. 

There are a limited number of booth spaces still available for health, fitness and nutrition-related businesses and organizations. Vendor booth space may be purchased for $125. A vendor information packet and registration form can be downloaded online at www.crystallakeparks.org.  

Vendor benefits include:
