Trojans' Win in Maine West Summer League

Cary-Grove girls basketball continues their win streak and will play next on July 6.

Wednesday night brought about another opportunity for Cary-Grove’s girls’ basketball team to blend together into one unit before the 2011-12 season starts in November during play in the Maine West Summer League.

Olivia Jakubicek scored 18 points as the Trojans defeated Lane Tech 50-13.

Cary controlled play from the start, jumping out to a 19-4 lead by halftime and increasing on the lead as the second half went on in Des Plaines.

Cary has two more weeks of summer league play to go at Maine West with games on July 6 and 13 starting at 6:20 p.m.
