What Do We Want? We Want You At Our “Tryouts”

You can join the Stamford Bridge F.C. by coming out and participating in our “tryouts” on Wednesday, May 16 and Thursday, May 17, 2012.

The word “tryouts” is in quotes because they are really an opportunity for you to “tryout” our club, the other players and our coaches.

Stamford Bridge F.C. is different from all other competitive soccer clubs in that we do not cut players. We will not turn away any girl that wants to play soccer! Everyone that is willing to work hard, improve their game, and have fun playing competitive soccer is in the club!

We want you and your friends to join the Stamford Bridge F.C. soccer club! We will have a U-16 team for high school freshmen and sophomores, and a U-18 team for juniors and seniors. Additional teams will be added to accommodate the ages and level of players that join the club.

Tryouts are free of charge but players will need to complete the "Illinois Youth Soccer Association Emergency Medical Release and Liability Form". This form will need to be signed by the player and a parent or guardian before the player can participate. This form will be available on the tryout dates but can also be downloaded from our website.

Oh yes…there is something else we want. Stamford Bridge F.C. wants you to:

  • Be prepared to dedicate yourself to the club and the game of soccer
  • Be willing to play competitive soccer against competitive teams
  • Be prepared to improve your soccer skills, knowledge of and appreciation for soccer
  • Have fun playing soccer with your friends, old and new
  • Tell us how far you want to go with your soccer career…and let us help you to get there!

We promise to provide a competitive soccer playing experience for dedicated players through well structured practice sessions and through playing games at the highest competitive age appropriate level possible, increasing the tactical element of team play by using soccer as a vehicle to promote fair play, self-confidence and good citizenship. To make this promise a reality for you Stamford Bridge F.C. has secured only United States Soccer Federation (USSF) nationally licensed coaches to train you.

Where And When Will This Take Place?

Tryouts will take place at Deerpath Elementary School in Cary (2211 Crystal Lake Road, Cary, IL, 60013).

Please remember to wear shin guards, bring a soccer ball and water.

Tryouts will be held over two days on Wednesday, May 16 and Thursday, May 17, 2012.

Sessions on both dates will take place from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Attendance at both sessions is not mandatory but it does help the coaches to have a better understanding of your abilities.

The weather can be unpredictable so please bring the appropriate clothes to practice in. Please check our website (www.carygrovesoccer.com) for cancellation and tryout rescheduling if dangerous weather prevents us from practicing as planned.

Why Should You Join The Stamford Bridge F.C.?

Our coaches focus on the technical, tactical, physical and psychological elements of the game of soccer while teaching the joy and discipline of this wonderful game!

Our annual club fees are the lowest in the area ($165 for fall, $165 for winter, etc.). This fee covers your training fees and uniform costs. Our motive is to share our passion for soccer with the players and parents and to provide club players with the highest level of training possible.

For more information about our club, our philosophy and expectations of players and parents alike go to www.carygrovesoccer.com, or contact us by email at info@carygrovesoccer.com, or by phone at 847-639-0320.

So come out on May 16-17, 2012, bring your friends, neighbors and teammates and “tryout” the Stanford Bridge Football Club!!
