South's Beveridge to Take Next Step at North Central

Talented defensive end to play for the Cardinals in Naperville.

Josh Beveridge, senior defensive end at , has accepted an offer to play football for the Cardinals of North Central College in Naperville.

Beveridge is a Fox Valley First-Team All-Area Northwest Herald recipient, a Fox Valley First-Team All-Area Daily Herald recipient, as well as a All-Fox Valley Conference Valley Division Team recipient.    

He led the defense in both sacks (9.5) and tackles for loss (14.5), and was third in total tackles (29 solo, 24 assists).

South’s stingy defense gave up 150 yards and 9.8 points per game in 2011, making it to the IHSA Class 7A Quaterfinals. South has won at least a share of the FVC Valley Division Conference Title two years in a row, posting a 21-3 record during that stretch and consecutive IHSA Quarterfinal appearances.

Bevereidge was a 2-year starter at defensive end and was named the Defensive MVP by his team.

Beveridge visited a number of D-II, D-III and NAIA schools, including Sioux Falls, St. Ambrose and Winona State, prior to joining North Central College’s program.
