This week's subject is myself as the Cary-Grove girls basketball team asks me the offbeat questions
Each week, I have a bit of fun with the athletes at Cary-Grove, asking them questions that are on-topic and completely off-topic.
Sometimes the answers come out easily and sometimes, it’s a bit harder to come up with a response. This week, I am personally on the hot seat as we transition from the winter sports season to spring. Next week, I will be talking to another Trojan player but for now, the Cary girls' basketball team is asking me the questions.
What is your embarrassing moment?
AS: Going up the bleachers at Rock Valley College in 2003 for a boys sectional game I was broadcasting and my pants fell down in front of the whole crowd.
What's one thing you want to do before you die?
AS: I want to visit every state
If you could be a superhero, who would you be and why?
AS: Superman, I want to have the ability to leap buildings in a single bound
Cubs or White Sox?
AS: Diehard Cubs fan, wouldn’t have it any other way
What movie best represents your life?
AS: Can’t Hardly Wait
What song best describes you?
AS: Barry Manilow’s “Ready to Take a Chance Again”
If you were president, what is the first law you would pass?
AS: I would pass a law to have the maximum size of any class be 20. There is no way students of today get the education they need when the teacher can’t spend enough time with each student.
What crazy occupation would you like to try?
AS: With the vibrant personality I have, I would like to try to be a stand up comic. Crazy in the fact that taking criticism in not my strong suit so for me, doing that would be crazy.
What is your favorite word?
AS: Absolutely
Saffert or Donaldson?
AS: Painting me into a corner here, great……I’m picking Donaldson strictly due to the fact we share the same first name. No other reason than that.
