After a loss before finals, ’s men’s basketball team looked to rebound Saturday against St. Clair Community College. The Scots struggled from the free-throw line, making just 15-of-26 shots in a 69-61 loss.
MCC trailed by four at the break and could never get the game even. Jemell Kent and Jermarkus Lovett each scored 12 points while LeBarron Hull added 10 points for MCC (5-6), who will play at home against Blackhawk 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Scots Women Stumble in Non-Conference Play
It was the first Saturday afternoon game for McHenry County College’s women’s basketball team against visiting St. Clair County Community College. The Scots got dominated early and fell 100-47 to the Skippers.
Alyssa Haayer scored 17 points and had seven rebounds to lead MCC (2-9). Jerrica Graham added 13 for the Scots, who play Blackhawk College at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday inside MCC’s Tartan Gym.
