MCC Hoops Head Down Home Stretch

There's only two weeks remaining in the regular season for the Scots.

The regular season draws to its final two weeks as basketball teams head down the home stretch. Here is how the Scots did over the past week:

Men’s Basketball: MCC went 1-2 with a 72-40 loss at Moraine Valley Community College before getting a forfeit victory over Elgin Community College on Saturday due to a player being ineligible and closed with a 76-57 home loss to Prairie State College on Tuesday.

The Scots fell to 11-14 overall and 5-6 in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference with the losses. Eric Wilde led MCC with 17 points in their loss to Prairie State.

MCC will go to Morton College (11-16, 3-8) in Cicero Thursday night before hosting the College of Lake County (10-15, 4-7) Tuesday night. Both games are at 7:15 p.m.

Women’s Basketball: MCC’s women’s team all lost three of their games this past week with an 84-57 loss at Moraine Valley followed by a 73-39 loss at Elgin and finished with an 83-27 home loss to Prairie State.

Jerrica Graham led the Scots (2-21, 0-11) with 13 points against Prairie State.

The team will hit the road for a game at Morton (11-15, 3-8) Thursday before hosting Lake County (5-21, 1-10) next Tuesday night at 5:15 p.m. It will be the final road game of the season for the Scots.
