Gallery: Patch Cubs Errors Allow Giants Victory

Errors continue to hurt the Cubs.

On Thursday, the were unable to answer back their May 31 loss to the Brunswick Giants. On that night, the Giants beat the Cubs 14-6.

On Thursday, the Cubs only allowed five runs, but only scored three themselves. 

Errors were the keys to the Cubs defeat. With one crucial error alone, the Giants were able to bring two runners back to home plate.

"We let them beat us," Manager Rob Lang said. "[The Giants] were able to score off of our mistakes." 

Mistakes aside, the Cubs played a solid game with seven strikeouts with the first two pitchers.

"We pitched well," he also said. "We had enough defense to hold them to only five runs."
