Crystal Lake Park District Teen Glassblowing Trip

Experience the art of glassblowing, hands-on and up close!  On Friday, April 29 from 6:30-10:30 pm (transportation from Main Beach Parking Lot), the Crystal Lake Park District invites teens, grades 6-12, to travel to Lumpy Glass Studio in Crystal Lake.  This 3-hour workshop will include a demonstration to help you understand the world of glass blowing.  Each participant will have the opportunity to work on creating something personal and unique to keep.  Creations may include necklace pendants, beads, jars, and small sculpture pieces, such as fish, turtles, small flowers, or anything else that will satisfy your creative side.  Registration fee includes everything you will need: equipment, glass, safety gear, instruction and demonstration.  Please bring a non-flammable long sleeved shirt and your imagination.  Space is limited to 5 people.  Please register by April 1.  Program fee: $38, Resident discount fee: $25.  Register online at www.crystallakeparks.org for program code #8753-0.  For further information contact Connie Cooke at (815) 459-0680, ext. 213.
