CL South Hockey Wins PREP Thanksgiving Tournament

The Crystal Lake South Varsity hockey team won the PREP Thanksgiving Showcase Tournament this past weekend at West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows. 

The Gators knocked off the host team, PREP, to capture the 2nd Annual PREP Thanksgiving Tournament title. The Gators beat Evanston, Lyons Township and Warren Township to advance. 

PREP Hockey Club is a combined team comprised of students from Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Elk Grove Village and Prospect high schools. 

The Gators JV team went 4-1 on the weekend and was a finalist in its second straight tournament, dropping the championship game 4-1 to Waubonsie High School..

The JV finished second in the Motown Cup in Detroit on Sunday, Nov. 24, beating out teams from Michigan and Canada to advance to the championship final.
