CLC Looks to Take Thunder Out of Woodstock

Tigers may add more wrinkles in home finale.

Crystal Lake Central is coming off an impressive 51-13 win over the Johnsburg Skyhawks last Friday.

While handing the Skyhawks their third loss this season, the Tigers balanced their attack.

This win drew high praise from CLC coach Matt Fralick while addressing his team after the win.

"That was our most complete game this season," said Fralick.

Central has been on a roll in recent weeks, ripping off four straight wins, three on the road, over formidable opponents. That's not going to change this week when they square off with the Woodstock North Thunder.

Woodstock North is coming off their first Fox Valley Conference victory in their program's history with their win over cross-town rival Woodstock High School.

North will be flying high when they enter Owen Metcalf Field on Friday night.

Though the Blue Streaks will be ready to go, they will be facing an emotional Crystal Lake Central hosting their last home game of the regular season.

Last week the play-action pass was be a big factor against Johnsburg, and fans should expect even more wrinkles added to the CLC offense.

Obviously Crystal Lake does not want to stray too far away from their bread and butter, junior running back Gage Harrah and senior running back Dyllon McKinney, but senior quarterback Brett Schuld still believes the passing game must me a big part of their offense.

"We just need to work hard in practice and work on being a multidimensional program; and work on opening up the pass more and getting in the playoffs," said Schuld.
