A look at this week's Trojans athletic results.

Here’s a look at how fall sports teams did this week….

Volleyball: Tuesday night saw the Trojans’ long regular season winning streak come to an end in a three-game loss at Huntley. Melanie Jereb had 15 kills to lead C-G, who suffered their first loss in their last 59 regular season matches.

Thursday night, Cary got back on the winning track with a two-game victory over Dundee-Crown as Jereb had 11 kills and Nicole Schuh had 16 digs. The Trojans continued their solid play Friday night with a two-game win over Lake Zurich. Ashley Rosch had eight kills for C-G, who moved to 16-1 on the year.

Boys Soccer: Brett Fotre scored twice Thursday to lead Cary to a 9-0 win over St. Martin in their opening game of the Carmel Tournament in Mundelein.

During the second day of the tournament Friday, C-G lost to Lakes 1-0 as Tom Breen made two saves. On Saturday in the final game of the tournament, the Trojans defeated Carmel 3-0. Eric Wilde, Drew Conner and Kevin Wilde scored for Cary, who improved to 9-2.

Girls Tennis: The Trojans opened the week on Monday with a 5-2 win over Marengo as the Trojans improved to 13-4 on the season. C-G got singles wins from Kaitlin Kownick and Bridget Dorsey. On Tuesday, Cary continued their winning ways with a 7-0 Fox Valley Conference win over Hampshire. Dundee-Crown came to Cary on Thursday and was swept 7-0 by the Trojans.

Cary didn’t give up a single game in three matches. On Saturday, the Trojans hosted the Cary-Grove Invitational with Cary going 1-2 as a team for the day. Beth Hughes and Arley Baker won all three of their matches at No. 1 doubles.

Boys Cross Country: C-G finished third Tuesday at McHenry’s four-team Fox Valley Conference meet. Dustin Throw finished eighth to lead the Trojans. On Saturday, Cary took 24th out of 28 teams at the Palatine Invitational.

Girls Cross Country: Cary took first place on Tuesday at the McHenry Quadrangular, defeating Prairie Ridge, Huntley and McHenry. Talia Duzey finished second to lead C-G while Sarah Englund was fourth and Paige Freund finished fifth. Saturday at the Palatine Invitational, Cary took tenth place at the 28-team event.

Boys Golf: Jarrett Kinney and Brandon DiBlasi each shot 1-under par 36 on Tuesday to lead Cary to a 150-164 win over Dundee-Crown to improve Cary’s record to 7-1 and 4-1 in the FVC.

Girls Golf: Tuesday saw the Crystal Lake Central co-op team defeat Jacobs as Lexi Harkins continued her great play with a 4-over 40 to lead the Tigers. Wednesday saw Central’s first loss of the year to undefeated Prairie Ridge.

Harkins once again led Central with an even-par 37. On Saturday at the Freeport Invitational, Harkins shot a 2-under par 70 to pace Central to the win in the 15-team event. Cary’s Larisa Luloff shot an 89 for the Tigers.

Girls Swimming: At Saturday’s Buffalo Grove Invitational, the Trojans finished fourth out of 11 teams. Lauren Curtis finished second in the 100 freestyle.
