Trojans on Offense: Last week was a disaster for the , putting up just 88 yards of offense in a . This week should be a completely different story facing the Whip-Purs, who have given up at least 34 points in each of their three losses to start the season.

Corey Laktas, Patrick O’Malley, Ryan Mahoney and the Trojans’ running game should find more holes to run through and should win this game early.

The special teams for Cary were subpar last week against South and will need to be improved if the Trojans want to win tough, low-scoring games later this year. Hopefully, this will be a week where some kinks can be worked out.

Trojans on Defense: The Cary defense only allowed 165 yards in last week’s loss and has been steady all season long, allowing just 17 points in their first three games.

There is one Hampshire player that could cause some issues in running Chase Lundry, who ran for 225 yards two weeks ago in Hampshire’s loss to DeKalb and added another 80 in the team’s loss last week to Grayslake Central. Keep an eye of Zach Marszal, who had his fourth interception of the season against South.

Any errant passes in his directions are being intercepted by Marszal at this point. Don’t be surprised if the defense comes up with at least three turnovers.

Things to Know: Hampshire is in their first year in the Fox Valley Conference after moving from the Big Northern Conference….

After last week’s loss, C-G fell to No. 5 in the Class 6A rankings this week….

This is Cary’s homecoming game, the lone Saturday regular season game on the schedule and the Trojans have won their last two homecoming games by a combined score of 98-7…..

This is Cary’s lone crossover game in the Fox Valley Conference with Hampshire being in the Fox Division of the conference.
