Basketball Camp to Benefit Cary 26 Education Foundation

The second annual Getting Ready Hoops basketball camp begins Sept. 27, register today.

Lace up your sneakers, the Getting Ready Hoops basketball camp is back. As basketball season approaches, learn some new skills and brush up on old ones.

The camp will consist of fundamentals, contests and games instructed by the experienced coaches such as Patrick Ambrose, varsity  boys basketball coach for Stevenson High School, Jim Weaver, who’s former basketball coach and Tim Rietz, boys basketball coach for Barrington Middle School.

Participants should wear proper athletic attire including shorts, t-shirt and athletic shoes and bring a junior basketball.

The camp is a non-school sponsored activity and while donations will be directed to the , “Getting Ready Hoops” is not sponsored by, or affiliated with, the Cary 26 Education Foundation.

Who: Boys second grade through fifth grade

When: 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, beginning Sept. 27 and ending on Oct. 25

Where: : Main gym

Minimum Donation: $75 (tax deductible)
