WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana -- Purdue University awarded about 3,300 degrees to students following the fall semester.

Kojs, Wollney Named to Miami University President's List

OXFORD, OHIO -- Miami University students who are ranked in the top three percent of undergraduate students within each division for first semester 2012-13 have been named to the president's list recognizing academic excellence.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln Honors Engel, Holtz

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA-- University of Nebraska-Lincoln undergraduate students will be honored in conjunction with UNL's All-University Honors Convocation on April 14 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts. Honorees include 42 seniors who will be recognized as Chancellor's Scholars, the university's highest undergraduate academic honor.

Students from this area who will be honored include:

David Engel, of Cary. Engel is a sophomore, High Scholar, College of Business Administration with a 4.0 grade-point average.

Amanda Holtz, of Cary. She is a sophomore, High Scholar, College of Business Administration.

Nielsen, Ruhlin named to Savannah College Dean's List

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA-- Local residents have been named to the Dean's List at the Savannah College of Art and Design for fall quarter 2012. Full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the quarter receive recognition on the Dean's List.

Hillary Ruhlin of Cary.
